Local Maintenance Leader

About the Role: 

We are seeking an Associate to lead and oversee the day-to-day local shop maintenance and activities for a specified location(s) with a focus on equipment up-time.  This associate is the point of contact for maintenance activities/questions/concerns specific to a certain product line or plant.  The local maintenance leader will need to partner and build strong relationships with diverse teams within the facility and throughout the medical products division. 

 

This role will be located at our Kendrick Peak facility in Flagstaff, Arizona.

  Responsibilities:  Monitor team performance to ensure maintenance practices and systems deliver quick, high quality and efficient services to support manufacturing, R&D (Research & Development) and new product development; including initiates and may communicate a variety of personnel actions Provide routine communication with leadership Understand local strategy and participate in setting priorities Coordinate with manufacturing for local large-scale activities (i.e., room move, general facility issues)  Understand all safety, regulatory and quality procedures that affect the team and ensure compliance Ensure functional processes and procedures are implemented and adhered to.  Partner with leadership to create & implement change in support of strategic initiatives Drive continuous improvement efforts and utilize lean manufacturing principles Be responsible for training, performance and development of team; including on-boarding new and transferred associates Be responsible for time tracking, Associate training, and support coverage (vacation, sick) Be responsible for additional tasks as required within the scope of position

 

 

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing equipment support environment Demonstrated experience leading teams and/or managing multiple projects and priorities Experience partnering with diverse customers and functional groups Experience in/with leading skilled-trades activities for Maintenance, Calibration, and/or Machine Shop teams Experience working within a quality system or a regulated industry and ability to adhere to detailed written procedures Proficient with computer programs such as Microsoft office (Excel, ppt., Word, etc.) and CMMS/CCMS Effective oral and written communication skills   Ability to travel up to 5%

 

Desired Qualifications:

Track record of promoting associate growth and development Strong knowledge of manufacturing maintenance processes Knowledge of medical device manufacturing regulations, standards and guidance documents (21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, NIST, etc.)
