NBCU Local Audience Development Intern
The Audience Development Intern will work closely with a team of Audience Managers and Editors to ensure content reaches wide audiences and retains our most loyal users. The team is looking for a team-player and a self-starter who is interested in understanding how content travels across the web, and what role that plays in the media business. Fluency in Spanish and interest in Sports is a plus. You must be a clear communicator with an understanding of newsgathering, fact-checking, and appropriately attributing quotes. An aptitude for data and analytics is a plus.
HQ - NBCU Local Marketing
The NBCU Local HQ Marketing team specializes in various areas including Brand Management, Streaming Platforms, Media, Regional Sports Networks’ Marketing and Creative Services, Graphic Design, and Syndication. The NBCU Local marketing intern will have the opportunity to engage in diverse projects involving NBC and Telemundo marketers from local stations and streaming channels across the country.
NBCU Local Research
The Intern will support our sales team by analyzing audience data and building sales insights across NBCU Local, Telemundo, Sports, etc. They’ll work with ratings, conduct competitive analyses, and help craft presentations to engage top advertisers in a dynamic, fast-paced media landscape!
NBCU Local National
Are you a visual storyteller? Do you enjoy working on interactive projects that involve data, photos, videos, graphics and other media elements? We are looking for a Visuals intern who can creatively tell stories using all these elements across all our digital platforms -- so if you answered “yes” to those questions, then we are looking for you.
NBCU Local Digital
This candidate will be working with the digital Product & Technology team and have in-depth exposure to the development and release of digital products across multiple platforms: Desktop, Mobile Web, OTT and Mobile Apps. Working with the Agile Program Team, the candidate will have a high-level introduction to Agile Project Management for Local News.
WNBC/WNJU Creative Services
The Creative Services department is a duopoly department, servicing WNBC and WNJU. The group ensures the promotion of programming, talent and special initiatives that the businesses undertake including Clear the Shelters, Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting and many more. In addition, the department supports divisional and network promotional efforts. This intern will shadow the Graphic Design manager through the creation of motion graphics for video deliverables, projects and initiatives, as well as work with the Manager as promotions and projects go from concept to design and assist in the execution of graphic projects.
WNBC/WNJU Sales & Marketing
Our ideal candidate is someone who has some tv, social and/or digital marketing business or research knowledge and/or experience. Projects for this internship will include creating PowerPoint presentations, updating and gathering content for Sales & Marketing portfolio, assisting Account Executives and the marketing team with research, rating reports and assist with event activations.
QualificationsBasic Requirements:
Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (June 2025 through August 2025). May 2025 graduates are not eligible for our Summer 2025 Internship Program.Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.Must be willing to work in New York, NY.For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.
