Localization Coordinator

You have a deep understanding of the translation process, excellent proofreading skills, and are familiar with Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tools. What you'll do:

As a Localization Coordinator, you will manage specific localization projects from start to finish, working closely with content owners and stakeholders to understand localization requirements. You will prepare source content for localization, ensure linguists have the necessary context and resources, and verify that translated content meets quality standards. You will oversee the localization process for Geotab products and documents, update glossaries and style guides, and process new translation requests. Additionally, you will interface with translation service providers, evaluate translations, provide feedback, and help develop and improve the localization process to support Geotab's growth and expansion.

How you'll make an impact

Manage the entire lifecycle of multiple localization projects in a fast-paced environment.

Oversee the localization process for Geotab products and documents assigned to you.

Work with internal teams to improve the quality of all localized material at Geotab.

Update the glossaries, terminology databases, and style guides for all relevant languages.

Process new translation requests assigned by Team Lead or translation change requests from internal and external sources.

Maintain sensitivity to international terms, expressions, symbols, and images to ensure consistency.

Interface with translation service providers to deliver accurate and timely translations.

Critically evaluate translations and provide feedback to the translation service providers.

Help develop and improve the localization process to meet the demands of growth and expansion.

What you'll bring to the role

1-3 years experience as a project/process coordinator or a similar role.

Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma Specialization in Linguistics, Language Studies, Communications or a related field is highly valued.

Fluency in another language in addition to English is preferred.

Understanding of the translation process.

Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.

Experienced research skills in understanding industry terms.

Familiarity with Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tools (e.g. Trados Studio, MemoQ, Phrase (Frm. Memsource)).

High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.

Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.

Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides), Jira, Figma.

Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
