As the Deputy Director (PSM2) for theLocation and Environment Bureau (LEB), you will support the Bureau Director and serve on the bureau’s leadership team. As a people manager this position will be responsible for aligning efforts of commitment, transparency, accountability, and ethical behavior of several teams within the bureau. You will have the opportunity to work with a professional leadership team focused on providing outstanding solutions to transportation challenges in service to the public. Additional responsibilities, but not inclusive: + Manages key programs within LEB to support project delivery. + Coordinating with department leadership to identify planning study needs and oversees the preparation of said studies. + Serving as the Iowa DOT’s Interchange Access Advisory Team lead. + Overseeing the selection and review of LEB’s on-call consultant contracts. + Serving as a co-coordinator of Iowa DOT’s value engineering studies.
