This position coordinates and produces all locksmithing services at all Phoenix Children’s locations as well as utilizes a company and/or personal vehicle to travel to these locations. This position also installs, repairs, rebuilds, and services mechanical or electrical locking devices, using tools or special equipment as well as maintains records of company locks and keys as necessary.

Position Duties Provides technical support and expertise on all locking hardware to the organization. Reviews locksmith request for compliance with state, local, and federal laws. Prioritizes requests for locks and keys and ensures work orders are completed within policy timeframes. Installs, maintains, and repairs various types of locks, including doors, cabinets, lockers, and others. Makes recommendations to hospital management for locking security requirements. Maintains materials and supplies to ensure cost effectiveness. Documents all projects, locksmith requests, master key and locker assignments. Logs keys that are issued and returned. Repairs, services, and installs exit devices, door closers, and other door/entrance-exit hardware. Makes emergency repairs to lock systems. Compiles and updates a confidential log of system codes. Reviews and makes recommendations for purchases of hardware within established guidelines. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
