About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant in Care of the Elderly to join our team in Scotland for a fixed-term contract from 1st July 2024 to 1st October 2024. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional care to elderly patients in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality care and management for elderly patients. Conduct comprehensive geriatric assessments and develop individualized care plans. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients. Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and multidisciplinary meetings. Engage in teaching and training of junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records. Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and standards of care.

Requirements:

Medical degree and full GMC registration. Relevant Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Geriatric Medicine. Extensive experience in the care of elderly patients. Strong clinical and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
