Locums Nocturnist Needed! Location: Chicago, IL Position Type: Locums Specialty: Nocturnist MD/DO Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off - night shift (7p-7a) Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nocturnist MD/DO to join our team in Chicago, IL. This locums position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality care in a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitalist medicine and be ready to make an immediate impact. Responsibilities: + Provide comprehensive care to hospitalized patients during night shifts. + Perform critical procedures including intubation, central venous line placement, arterial line placement, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and lumbar puncture. + Collaborate with the Emergency Department staff to ensure seamless patient care. + Order and interpret diagnostic tests, formulate differential diagnoses, and develop treatment plans. + Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Cerner EMR system. Qualifications: + Must hold an active Illinois medical license. + Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, DEA, and IL controlled substance license. + Minimum of 1 year of hospitalist experience. + Strong procedural skills and the ability to work independently.
