Locums Nocturnist Needed!

Location: Chicago, IL
Position Type: Locums

Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off – night shift (7p-7a)

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nocturnist MD/DO to join our team in Chicago, IL. This locums position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality care in a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitalist medicine and be ready to make an immediate impact.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive care to hospitalized patients during night shifts. Perform critical procedures including intubation, central venous line placement, arterial line placement, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and lumbar puncture. Collaborate with the Emergency Department staff to ensure seamless patient care. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, formulate differential diagnoses, and develop treatment plans. Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Cerner EMR system.

Qualifications:

Must hold an active Illinois medical license. Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, DEA, and IL controlled substance license. Minimum of 1 year of hospitalist experience. Strong procedural skills and the ability to work independently.
