OVERVIEW

 

Tatitlek staff provide support for engineering, technical, operator and logistics services at the Surface/Aviation Interoperability Laboratory (SAIL). SAIL is a part of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) located at Patuxent River, MD.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Applies logistic knowledge for supporting aircraft, weapon systems, training, or SE programs. Conducts logistics, supportability, reliability, maintainability, and operational analyses and provides recommendations for tailoring, optimizing, and establishing logistics element requirements in support of aircraft, weapon systems, training, or SE programs. Provides recommendations for changes to site support including maintenance planning, phased support, manpower and personnel requirements, initial provisioning and material support, support equipment, training and training devices, technical data packaging, handling, storage and transportation, and facilities. Provides recommendations for the development of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Total Ownership Cost (TOC) Management Plans. Provides recommendations for the review and development of Maintenance Plans/Logistics Support Analysis (MP/LSA) records, maintenance tasks and Level of Repair (LOR) Analysis recommendations.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

BA/BS degree in a relevant subject or discipline for the position and at least 1 year of full-time experience performing work related to the labor category functional description.

OR

Associate’s degree in a relevant subject or discipline for the position and at least 2 years of full-time experience performing work related to the labor category functional description. The 2 years of experience must be within the last 3 years.

OR

Possess a GED or high school diploma and completed 1 tour of military service with a Logistics military specialty code.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

 

Excellent analytical skills, Attention to detail, Adaptability, Customer & Mission focused, Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, and basic Industry knowledge.Must possess a SECRET level DoD clearance.
