Job Summary: DT Professional Services is seeking an entry level Logistician to join our team in Norco, CA! You will analyze and oversee the organization of the supply chain and the life cycle of assigned products from acquisition through distribution, delivery, and, when necessary, discontinuation. The Logistician is responsible for overseeing the life cycle of a product, including purchase, distribution, internal allotment, release and final clearance of resources. You will help streamline operations and identify the most efficient way to use the department’s resources to achieve its goals. There is 15% travel annually associated with this position. Responsibilities: + Communicates with customers and/or support staff to understand customer’s needs and to ensure those needs are met + Coordinates availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products + Creates and/or deploys project management tools and systems; implements plans, schedules, and compliance metrics + Collects or oversees the collection of product and project performance data; analyzes data for further product development and improvement + Verify goods reach their destination in a timely manner + Develop forecasting plan to maintain sufficient inventory + Discover the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules + Identifies opportunities to reduce costs, production time, and other areas lacking efficiency; recommends improvements + Prepares reports and presents project plans, progress, and results + Collaborate with IT and Engineering professionals to implement effective systems + Performs other related duties, as required Basic Qualifications: + An Active DoD Secret Clearance is required (or the ability to reinstate if active within the past 24 months) + Must be able to pass a Background Check + 5 years related experience required + Must be able to accommodate 15% travel annually + Extensive knowledge of acquisitions and distribution + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, relational databases and ERP systems + Familiarity with supply chain processes, to include but not limited to inventory and warehouse management + Strong attention to detail + Ability to follow instructions Preferred Qualifications: + Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain or related field The compensation range for this position: $28.00 an hour.   More about DT Professional Services: We’re looking for driven individuals to contribute to our talented & innovative team!
