LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (EO/IR 2025-22288):

 

Bowhead seeks a Logistics Management Specialist to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Crane Division (NSWC-Crane).  The Logistics Management Specialist will Provide programmatic and Life Cycle Logistics support for current Electro-Optic Infrared (EO/IR) projects managed by the Electro-Optic Technology Division (EOTD) including programmatic services, procurement documentation development, budget formulation, financial execution and tracking, and technical writing. Contractor shall provide project management support including, but not limited to, the following: coordination of project operations including management of records, schedules, and correspondence; analytical support; deliverables tracking; task management; and support the development of milestones and objectives for current projects.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include: 

Serve as the Configuration Management (CM) Lead for multiple Airborne Electro-Optics programs with a developing or stable baseline and a fully implemented product support plan that has well-established processes.Provide analytical support, management of records, coordination of schedules and correspondence, deliverables tracking, and assistance in the development of milestones and objectives for EOTD Multi-Sensor projects and programs, including logistics and meeting support.

Assist in the planning, execution, integration and oversight of all Integrated Product Support (IPS) activities and projects, and shall provide Logistics expertise to assist in developing innovative process improvements and solutions.

Have in depth operational knowledge and experience in the Government’s Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM) web-based tool for Electro-Optics Technology Division (EOTD) management of configurations and logistic elements.  iPDM shall be utilized to allow EOTD project teams to search and access shared resources, to include, but not limited to, technical drawings, parts lists, and engineering changes to control system configurations, documents, document workflows, contracts, and assets.Demonstrate a mastery of Integrated Program Development Management (iPDM) tool toward CM elements.

Assign personnel and responsibilities based on project needs.  Identify CIs by evaluating their purpose, complexity, and the needs of the customer and end user.  Measure performance and identify process improvements.

Identify and document the functional, physical, and software characteristics of CIs.

Establish the baseline and manage through iPDM. Control changes to CIs and their documentation.

Provide a database for the tracking of configuration documentation, identification numbers, configurations of fielded CIs, and changes and variances to the configuration.

Verify conformance of CIs to configuration documentation such as, but not limited to; performance specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICD), drawings, software media (e.g. Compact Disks (CDs)) and Software Version Descriptions (SVD), and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelors' Degree with eight (8) or more years of experience.

Relevant experience to the DoD acquisition process including program management, business management, and providing full product life cycle support guidance to the Program Office.

Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contactsStrong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
