Applications Analyst (Transportation/Logistics)

The Application Analyst is responsible for supporting and delivering new capabilities within the logistics and warehouse management processes. This individual will work closely with our functional groups to diagnose and resolve identified issues within transportation management systems, and assist operational leadership teams in implementing strategic improvements. The Application Analyst will also apply project management skills to execute tasks, resolve issues, and deliver a project phase or small project. Reports directly to Logistics Applications Manager.

Responsibilities
Must possess the ability to:

Partner with users to determine requirements and scope Assist in the creation of functional design deliverables Develop and review detailed and technical design deliverables Participate in on-call support activities Identify and correct application software problems Code, test, document and implement application enhancements and corrections Monitor and resolve system performance issues Assist end users in resolving and identifying system issues by providing application knowledge and technical expertise Assist users through creation and execution of test plan Train users in use of new system Participate in generation of user documentation

Qualifications

Two or more years of information systems development experience; minimum two years of project design Two to five years of system analysis and programming experience Experience with Logistics and transportation management systems desired Production support experience in information systems Strong written/ oral communication skills Working knowledge of PCs including software and hardware Education: Bachelor's degree from accredited four-year university or college; or equivalent combination of coursework and job experience
