Primary Job Functions:

Coordinate and implement safe, efficient, and cost-effective dispatch and voyage operations of Inland Barges that transport the company's cargoes domestically and/or worldwide. Plan and execute marine logistics to meet schedule requirements by working with internal and 3rd parties.

Job Requirements:

Effectively communicate with all partners to ensure alignment and accurate execution of plans. Collaborate with team members to optimize plans and the use of assets while maximizing value. Ensure adherence to credit guidelines, regulatory compliance, and transportation policies. Ensure all movements have been nominated as appropriate. May include negotiation of shipping arrangements within the established framework. Provide accounting support for month-end closing. As needed, utilize relevant tools (advanced planning systems, transactional systems) to achieve short and medium-term (0-3 months) optimal value of vessel coverage. May manage interfaces with external parties as appropriate, e.g., Government Agencies, third-party suppliers, marketers, etc. Prepares, analyzes, and submits periodic reports with items appropriate to the business such as KPIs, opex, product costing, transfer prices, etc., if applicable. Interface with site and third-party labs to manage and troubleshoot product sampling and certification and understands PQ limits, testing methods, and sampling procedures to help expedite and prioritize testing, if applicable. Ensure activities at third-party facilities are in compliance with standards/requirements, as applicable. Available via phone during afterhours and weekends for urgent support.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Understanding of bulk hydrocarbon marine logistics; Knowledge of vessel operations. Demonstrated experience in effective two-way communication with internal and external customers (oral, written, presentation, listening). Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must have strong attention to detail and concern for accuracy. Strong drive and motivation; strong continuous improvement mindset. Solid proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint). Capability to learn systems/platforms to extract data for analysis. Able to work with a diverse group of individuals; effectively manages external relationships. Promotes productive impact across organizations; seeks value-added improvements in the supply chain. Able to condense data and trends into succinct conclusions and recommendations, in written and verbal formats.
