Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write/create reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Demonstrated ability with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to navigate through specific web pages and retrieve reports to be handled in Excel. Advanced Excel skills preferred (features: power query, macros, pivot tables, charts, v-lookup) Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and vendors. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in writing, with exceptional attention to detail. Fluent in English Experience working effectively in complex global organizations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents, and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities Highly motivated, a team player and motivated self-starter Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to understand the priorities of numerous individuals in the context of the overall team and to prioritize own work accordingly, while maintaining excellent communications with respect to timelines for completing assignments.
Provide the necessary freight analysis and decision support systems for other functional areas
Provide summarized information in clear and concise manner, via email or in meetings.
Work with Finance and Accounting on freight accruals and other journal entries impacting Logistics.
Assist in the creation and publication of transportation financials
Develop, format and publish weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators related to freight and freight related services and measures.
Maintain daily/monthly reporting
Assist Audit provider with audit of carrier invoices for accuracy and contract compliance.
Summarize and analyze key operational metrics on a daily/weekly basis
Identify areas of opportunity to cut cost without jeopardizing service
Act as a liaison between Merchants, Customer Service, Warehouses, Vendors and Carriers
Compile and analyze historical shipping information to monitor trends
Update Shipping guides as needed
Resolve service failures and help implement process for continual improvement
Complete the daily routing process to accomplish the highest transportation service level at the lowest possible cost through correct carrier selection.
