This position is also contingent upon an award of contract.** **In this role, you will:** + Manage and coordinate logistics operations, ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods, materials, and services within the supply chain. + Monitor and manage supply chain activities, including inventory control, transportation, and distribution, to meet organizational needs and deadlines. + Address difficult but typically not complex logistics challenges, applying practical knowledge and experience to develop effective solutions. + Perform logistics management duties independently with general supervision, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time. + Influence and guide others within the job area by explaining logistics facts, policies, and practices, ensuring understanding and adherence to standards. + Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, providing recommendations for enhancing supply chain performance. + Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure that logistics requirements are met, negotiating terms and managing relationships to maintain service quality. + Prepare and maintain accurate logistics documentation, including shipping records, inventory reports, and compliance documentation. **Qualifications** **To be successful in this role, you will have:** + A Bachelor’s Degree in logistics management, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is at least 3 years of experience in logistics management or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to manage logistics operations effectively is required. + Degree requirements may be adjusted based on additional related experience, highly specialized knowledge, or uniquely applicable experience. + An active DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one is required. + Practical knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles, typically obtained through advanced education combined with hands-on experience. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain logistics concepts and influence others within the job area. + Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address logistics challenges and develop practical solutions. + Ability to work independently with general supervision, managing tasks efficiently and meeting deadlines. + Proficiency in analyzing logistics data and making data-driven decisions to optimize operations. + 10% travel required. **Additional Desired Experience and Skills:** + Experience in a government or defense-related environment. + Familiarity with government contracting processes and procedures. + Proficiency in logistics management software and tools. + Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards. + Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
