Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Logistics Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in import/export logistics, shipment tracking, and strong proficiency in Excel. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented and able to communicate effectively with various service providers. The Logistics Analyst will be responsible for tracking shipments, managing data, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
Responsibilities
+ Enter data for inbound ocean container milestones.
+ Release ocean container delivery orders to carriers.
+ Prepare transit time and financial reports.
+ Resolve ocean and drayage demurrage and detention issues promptly.
+ Review port of entry websites and maintain accurate shipping schedules.
+ Download logistics data and create Excel reports.
+ Communicate with ocean carriers, trucking companies, and freight forwarders.
+ Respond to telephone and email inquiries regarding parts shipments.
+ Assist with carrier bill pay, audits, and carrier rate reviews.
Essential Skills
+ Strong Excel skills, including V look-ups and pivot tables.
+ 2 years of experience in import/export logistics, preferably international shipment tracking.
+ 2 years of experience tracking shipments from manufacturer to retail sites.
+ 2 years of experience with SAP, Oracle, or other high-level shipment tracking ERP or TMS systems.
+ 2 years of experience tracking invoices, bill of ladings, and payments to and from carriers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to follow and create standard operating procedures.
+ Proficient in clerical work and Microsoft Excel.
+ Operational experience is a plus.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to work well in a team environment.
+ Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word and PowerPoint.
Work Environment
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Potential for 2 days of work from home after initial settling in period. Initial training will be fully in-office on Wednesdays and Fridays. The team consists of 4 other members within the logistics department. Training will be incremental, starting with a Senior Logistics Analyst and then rotating to a Financial Analyst to learn about cost aspects.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00
