Kane's is seeking a full-time Logistics Analyst to join our team in Pinellas Park!

Job Summary
Responsible for the planning and communication for both domestic and international logistics flows to support and sustain company goals. Responsible for managing and coordinating logistics operations accurately and timely. Coordinates delivery, pick-up times and tracks shipments. Manages the relationship with our freight vendors and continually seeks the best service and costs based on company goals. Responsible for coordinating late delivery notices, rescheduling deliveries and cancellations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of effective Supply Chain and Logistics operations.
+ Manages & schedules inbound shipments for domestic trucks / import containers.
+ Updates internal systems to ensure accurate availability of information.
+ Identifies and corrects discrepancies and issues with transportation vendors.
+ Stays in constant communication with freight forwarders, steamship lines, truck fleets to review the best service and costs.
+ Coordinates the scheduled arrival of all shipment to level the overflow for the distribution center’s receiving operations.
+ Balance vs level
2. Assumes responsibility for preparing and maintaining logistics records and reports.
+ Prepares and submits invoice and paperwork for billing. Responsible for initiating chargebacks.
3. Develops effective business relationships w/vendor partners
+ Obtains and conveys information as appropriate.
+ Promotes goodwill and a positive image of Kane’s.
4. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
+ Assists other departments as necessary.
+ Completes special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
+ 3+ years’ experience in logistics specifically international shipments.
+ High School Diploma, College Degree preferred.
Required Knowledge
+ Initiative and resourcefulness in identifying problems and taking action to resolve
+ Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
+ Managing domestic and international shipments
+ Container/ocean experience
+ Plan, organize and execute, with attention to detail.
+ Creativity and idea generation: challenge all associates to never be content with the status quo.
+ Analytical and decision-making: quantify decisions whenever possible and relate to the company’s financial goals.
+ Adaptability and flexibility: set priorities and adjust, as necessary, without disruption to the main course.
+ Microsoft Office, including Excel
+ Negotiation experience
