Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Develop logistics plans to enhance distribution of goods and supplies.Develop recommendations to achieve cost effective spares inventory.Directs item distribution to storage locations, field supply support activities. and customers based on priority, delivery schedules, and other requirements.Ensures collaboration with appropriate managers to provide detailed data analysis.Facilitate new hardware/software requests between requesting organizations and the logistics purchasing team.Familiarity with coordinating shipments using commercial and DoD transportation methods.Initiates and tracks forecasting actions for assigned items for future requirements.Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.Manage a comprehensive inventory of assets dispersed over a large geographic area.Organize and maintain logistics storage facilities/warehouse.Participate in special projects as required.Participates in the development of supply chain management practices for distribution activities, with a focus on long range planning improvement.Recommends alternate courses of action in resolving problems critical to current and future logistics requirements.Performs logistical assessments of strategic supply support in coordination with the supported customers and alerts management of systemic problems.Responsible for delivering sensitive equipment to secure locations. Responsible for the organization, tracking, and accounting for GDIT project materials and assets in support of USBICES-X operations worldwide.Reviews, coordinates, and integrates commodity management of assets.Support greater Enterprise operations by adhering to established policies and procedures.Troubleshoots and resolves issues where supply chain deficiencies affect the mission.Enter, track, and receive software and hardware maintenance support renewals and new purchases throughout purchasing process.Proactively analyze and track purchases for value of cost, software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.Work with vendors, IT, and Supply Chain teams to analyze and resolve complex issues associated with enterprise purchasing.Conducts and may provide guidance for the supplier audits, assessments and evaluations to ensure conformance to client's quality, cost and delivery performance standards.Perform all other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

10+ years of related logistics work experience.BA/BS – may substitute additional years of experienceStrong written and verbal skills.Self-starter who can independently work and collaborate with other teams.Strong analytic and problem-solving skills with the ability to put together and organize large amounts of information.Active secret security clearance.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.Experience with Enterprise Licensing Agreements and EULAs.Experience with ServiceNowExperience with Government Property Transfers, DD1150sFamiliar with Government Disposal processes, DD1348sFamiliar with Microsoft, Cisco, and Adobe DoD JELAsExperience communicating with multiple vendors and project managersExperience with data entry (SC360), Accounting Systems and SharePointPerforms demand forecasting, distribution planning, supply chain modeling and design. May provide guidance to less-experienced Logistics Analysts.

The likely salary range for this position is $72,250 - $97,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
