Job Description

The main function of a logistics planning analyst is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. A typical planning analyst is responsible for reviewing and distributing production work and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels and costs.

ResponsibilitiesExamine documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards.Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements and material priorities.Record production data including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.Essential SkillsVerbal and written communication skillsAttention to detailProblem-solving skillsInterpersonal skillsAbility to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor, and materialsAbility to accurately document and record customer/client informationKnowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and productionPrevious experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and ExcelAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required2-4 years related experience in supply chain, customer service, data entry, transportation, inventory, freight, buyer purchasing, procurement, SAP, supply chain management, Power BI, and Excel pivot tablesWork Environment

The work environment involves the use of technologies and equipment such as Microsoft Word and Excel. The role requires maintaining detailed records and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
