Overview
Reporting\ndirectly to APAC logistics Manager,\nthe logistics specialist is responsible of logistics operation activities\nincluding system transportation, warehousing, distribution, dangerous goods\ncompliance and customs clearance in the Asia/Pacific region.
Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day logistics transaction activities in system including material & packaging purchasing receipt, empty bulk receipt and goods delivery in term of sales delivery.
Schedule inland transportations, inbound & outbound logistics operation by working with forwarders, carriers & customs, providing shipping documents preparation to meet customer requirement in a timely manner.
Timely stock adjustment in system in accordance with inventory management rules.
Periodical stock counting arrangement.
Act as expert in warehousing, transportation management and shipping procedures for both domestic and overseas shipments including hazardous materials.
Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities, best practices, elimination of waste and other opportunities to reduce any overall costs while maintaining or approving quality of service.
Take full advantage of logistics resources to meet the business requirements; promote initiatives in areas of cross-functional, cross-organizational, cross-regional collaboration and synergy.
Ensure compliance with company, environmental and safety standards as well as local transportation regulations and customs requirements.
Follow up logistics strategies and policies to improve operational efficiency and achieve business operational targets.
Periodically review on logistics expenditures and payment application via system
Execute on ISOtank fleet management to sustain business requirement. Familiar with country regulation and constraints, optimize fleet planning and business allocation by product in Asia Region to speed up fleet turnover and utilization. Coordinate on bulk regular maintenance and inspection.Required Qualifications
Bachelor education
Good communication in English
SAP knowledge on logistics transaction and at least 3 years in logistics operation and chemical experience is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in both a team and individual environment.
Process oriented and have strong analytical capacity, problem solving ability,
Capable to work under pressure. Highly motivated and dependable, including willingness to work flexible hours to meet contractual requirements.
