Logistics and Distribution Technician -York- Full-Time-Dayshift
Location: WellSpan Health, York, PA
Schedule: Full Time
Shift Information
Monday-Friday 6:00-2:30 Rotating Weekends and Holidays
General Summary
Performs a variety of tasks to support the system-wide mission of Logistics and Distribution including, but not limited to, issuing supplies, maintaining inventories and compiling stock records, receiving, preparing items for shipment and/or return to vendor, etc..
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
+ Moves/handles items such as, supplies, linen, mail, print products, equipment, etc..
+ Performs a variety of activities such as, receiving, storing, cleaning, issuing, counting, shipping and ordering of supplies and equipment. Complies with US Postal Service Regulations.
+ Works to meet customer expectations - right stuff, right place, right time, right condition, right quantity, right price.
+ Works in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
+ Supports the capture and reporting of Key Performance Indicators/Measures that drive Continuous Improvement.
+ Works with managers, supervisors, technicians, warehouses, mail services, print providers, couriers.
+ Stocks vendor deliveries in designated areas.
+ Receives requests for items, selects from inventory, loads distribution vehicles and distributes to designated areas.
+ Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
+ Inventories user storage areas and replenishes inventory or par levels.
+ Prepares routine inventory reports and maintains records of in-house and on-order supplies.
+ Supports periodic and special inventories. Participates in year-end inventories in cooperation with the Controller.
+ Investigates discrepancies and reconciles. Monitors expiration dates. Processes inventory returns.

+ Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
+ Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
+ Marks inventory articles with identification codes as needed.
+ Maintains appropriate records, reports, and files as required.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
+ High School Diploma or GED Required
Work Experience:
+ Less than 1 year Relevant experience. Required
