Position Overview

QinetiQ US is looking to hire an experienced Logistics and Sustainment Director to support mission essential work at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The selected candidate will have responsibility in the following areas:

Responsibilities Provide program and project management support for a growing portfolio of acquisition, engineering, and life cycle logistics programs.Oversee all aspects of the assigned programs/projects to ensure compliance with requirements, schedule, and budget.Generate, update, and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), identify resources, critical path items, address schedule conflicts and risks, and synchronize the IMS with other projects across the program’s portfolio.Control expenditures, report monthly actual performance, and create forecasts using an Estimate to Complete (ETC) process.Work with functional managers to develop program resource plans. Direct assigned program resources.Generate and deliver weekly reports, monthly reports, program review presentations, and other program status updates and highlights.Work closely with the Business Development, Engineering, Operations, and Finance departments to support technical and cost proposal efforts.Support company sales, profit, and growth objectives. Required Qualifications Demonstrated domain and program experience in lifecycle logistics policy development, technical management, specialty engineering, testing and evaluation, operational integration, software engineering, testing and evaluation, and /or integrated logistics support systems. Experience managing cost, schedule, and risk across multiple programs.Experience managing subcontractors from multiple sources to achieve a common goal.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage diverse teams across multiple projects.Detail oriented manager, capable of understanding and communicating highly technical and complex topics to customers, senior leadership, and engineers.Strong customer management skills - must be capable of managing a customer to assure the customer’s needs are met without incurring scope growth.Ability to perform scope/requirements analysis – must be capable of working with a customer to translate the customer’s wants and needs to top level scope and requirements.Scheduling - Hands on experience creating and maintaining integrated master schedules in MS Project.Estimating – must be capable of working with subject matter experts to develop estimates for duration and cost.Demonstrated experience employing cost-wise readiness methodologies and life-cycle cost disciplines to ensure the provision of system operational readiness outcomes at best cost to clients.Familiarity with DHS standards and equipment acquisition and qualification process.Excellent computer skills with a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams/Sharepoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Microsoft Project, knowledge of Deltek CostPoint or similar MRP/ERP software systems, Jira, and Windchill.Must be able to readily adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentStrong self-starter requiring minimal supervision15  years of system acquisition logistics planning and sustainment experiencePMP certified and/or DAIWA or DHS Program Manager Level III Certified or equivalent, preferredMust be able to successfully pass a DHS Background Investigation Company EEO Statement
