Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Administrative/Clerical role based in Tracy, California. This position is within the manufacturing industry where you will be tasked with various responsibilities related to procurement, storeroom management, and vendor relations. Responsibilities: • Coordinating the procurement and receiving of manufacturing parts and spare supplies. • Responsible for the generation and maintenance of inspection and repair reports. • Handling daily storeroom activities such as parts ordering, expediting receiving, inspecting, cataloging, stocking, issuing, and inventory control. • Utilizing a computerized management system to compare inventories and compute figures from records such as purchase invoices to obtain current inventory. • Investigating and analyzing new supply sources and complying with environmental regulations related to chemical purchases. • Maintaining good vendor relationships and meeting established budgets and inventory levels. • Overseeing the stocking and issuing of materials or merchandise. • Planning, implementing and following-up on best practices in stores and purchasing. • Generating, tracking, and closing work orders. Requirements • Proficiency in planning and executing administrative tasks. • Experience in invoice processing and management. • Ability to handle materials efficiently. • Familiarity with budget processes and financial planning. • Skills in merchandising and inventory management. • Proven experience in performing clerical duties. • Knowledge of procurement processes and strategies. • Understanding of warehouse management systems and operations. • Ability to implement best practices in administrative tasks. • Experience in closing deals and negotiations. • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations. • Familiarity with management systems and their implementation. • Ability to process and manage work orders. • Experience in stock management and control. • Strong vendor relations and negotiation skills. • Proficiency in cataloging and record keeping. • Ability to prepare and analyze inspection reports. • Experience in managing storerooms and inventory. • Knowledge of spare parts management and control. • Familiarity with QA management and quality control processes. • Understanding of environmental regulations and compliance.
