Logistics Clerk
Description We are in the process of recruiting a Logistics Clerk to be an integral part of our team. The selected individual will be based in Columbia, South Carolina, 29203, United States and will play a vital role in our operations. They will offer support to our accounting/finance team by taking on administrative tasks and conducting analysis for our product portfolio. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Familiarize yourself with our product portfolio and understand the pricing structure for all customers. • Keep track of pricing changes for each customer group and ensure accurate processing in system databases. • Run reports from systems to gather sales activity and review customer pricing on orders for validation. • Tackle the returns processing by understanding our policy and procedures for the return of products by customers. • Handle customer calls and emails to request a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) and process each customer RGA request in accordance with our policy and procedures. • Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure RGAs are validated once the product is received so that reimbursement credits for returned products are processed and issued promptly. • Review and validate reimbursement credit amounts to be issued to customers before being sent to the 3PL for processing against customer receivables accounts and issued to customers. • Review Accounts Receivables files/Payment details to verify that only approved reimbursement credits are taken by customers. • Monitor shortage and overage activity to ensure it is accounted for correctly. Requirements **While this role is remote MUST BE LOCAL TO THE COLUMBIA SOUTH CAROLINA AREA! • Proficiency in various computer programs, including Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Excel formulas. • Familiarity with time management software such as 'About Time'. • Experience in handling and answering inbound calls efficiently and professionally. • Ability to perform billing functions accurately, ensuring all financial records are kept up-to-date. • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly and effectively. • Exceptional customer service skills, capable of addressing customer concerns and queries promptly. • Proficient in managing email correspondences, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups. • Demonstrated ability in critical thinking, capable of solving problems effectively and making sound decisions. • Detail-oriented with the ability to conduct thorough reviews and create detailed reports. • Solid computer skills, comfortable with using various software and applications related to logistics operations.
