As a Logistics Consultant, you will report into the Senior Logistics Manager and have the lead in supporting the Huntville Powertrain Plant (HPP) with inbound transportation. You will be part of the logistics team that is responsible for defining and executing strategies for Navistar’s inbound logistics, while providing excellent operational support to the plants.

Responsibilities Building and maintaining relationships to provide excellent logistics support for the plant, including logistics, supply chain, finance, procurement, 3PL, carriers, and warehouseUnderstanding and problem-solving considering plant and supplier constraints and logistics requirements to avoid plant downtimeAnalyzing Huntsville inbound and outbound contracted lanes for improvement opportunities and track through plant logistics metrics and KPIs and expeditesIdentifying opportunities to improve logistics operational support for the plant and reducing logistics spend and emissions together with 3PLParticipating in the development of the Huntsville logistics budget and forecasting and monitoring the daily financial metricsMonitoring trailer dwell to minimize cost and plant interruptions with 3PLInvolvement in carrier business reviews with key carriers for the Huntsville Plant and participation in addressing performance issues as neededSupporting logistics strategies and long-term planningCross-training within the Logistics team to provide support to the other manufacturing plants as needed Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degreeAt least 5 years of supply chain or manufacturing experience

Master’s degreeAt least 3 years of supply chain or manufacturing experience

OR

At least 7 years of supply chain or manufacturing experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
