Logistics Coordinator
Description: The logistics administrator will be expected to coordinate with customers and the warehouse team to make sure that orders go out in a timely fashion while also being loaded and prepared properly. They will implement systems to make sure that a greater number of outbound orders can be scheduled while also implementing systems to create greater intake volume in the warehouse. Duties/Responsibilities: ● Enter and fulfill customer orders providing cost effective transportation and on time delivery becoming a customer and product expert and resource for Royalty. ● Negotiate and process customer RMAs, and other order issues including production schedule or carrier issues. ● Will make sure that all orders on 3PLs or LTLs will have load straps and load bars to make sure that all orders arrive to customers completely intact. ● Creates appointment times during the day which outbound common carriers can pickup orders, as well as systems that creates repercussions based on arrival time of logistics trucks. ● Utilize customer and carrier electronic portals and systems. ● Oversee the execution of contracts, manage blanket purchase orders, confirm POD or delivery times. ● Maintain weekly operations and monthly reports, that show the throughput of outbound logistics and inbound items. ● Measure performance against customer’s KPI’s including performance vs budget, on-time performance, and execute strategies to improve them. ● Creates staging and picking systems that allow for our outbound order capacity can increase. ● Address current inefficiencies in double-picked orders, delayed orders, time of product sitting on the floor before shipment, etc. ● Participate in team and process continuous improvement, including cross training for back up and relief with other team members. Required Skills/Abilities: ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train staff on shipping procedures. ● Ability to work well with others. ● Thorough understanding of quality shipping procedures. ● Expected to ensure that items do not arrive to the facility damaged, exit the facility damaged, and are packaged/palletized the correct way. ● Thorough understanding of logistics and how to maximize inbound and outbound. ● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. ● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ● Strong pride of ownership and leadership skills. ● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. ● Travel required to all Royalty facilities.
