Logistics Coordinator
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. The individual will be part of a dynamic team, focusing on managing logistics operations within the supply chain sector. The role involves coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient freight and warehouse operations. Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality service to both internal and external contacts, ensuring all communication is professional and effective • Manage and update logistics milestones, ensuring timely execution and accurate reporting • Coordinate with the customer service group to address any exceptions found in freight documents or during physical cargo receipt • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the import/export departments to guarantee customer requirements are met • Ensure all necessary documents are in proper order within the file, and that payable and receivable documents are accurately completed and forwarded within time constraints • Coordinate with the warehouse for the provision of loading documents and close bills of lading • Carry out export clearance and send pre-advises/J2J as required • Contact customers to provide updates on shipment status or to obtain shipment information, acting as a contingency to Customer Service • Trace shipment through transit points up to the final destination, providing updates to customer service as needed • Maintain a high level of data quality and integrity by processing shipments accurately • Perform other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall efficiency of logistics operations. Requirements • Possesses proficiency in business systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions • Familiar with Cargowise and CRM systems • Has experience with the 'About Time' software • Capable of handling billing functions efficiently • Demonstrates excellent communication skills • Exhibits strong customer service skills • Familiar with customs regulations and procedures • Capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively • Possesses a problem-solving mindset, with the ability to make decisions under pressure • Has a proactive approach to work, taking initiative in improving processes and resolving issues • Team player, capable of working effectively with different departments.
