Logistics Coordinator

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator based in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is primarily concerned with ensuring efficient and accurate management of shipping operations within the specialty pharmacy industry. You will be the key point of contact for all shipping-related inquiries and will be responsible for resolving any issues that arise during the transit of shipments.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and manage shipping delays and address issues to prevent delivery disruptions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for shipping inquiries from other pharmacy team members.
• Communicate and coordinate with doctor’s offices, clinics, or infusion centers to arrange medication shipments.
• Understand carrier network performance and routine procedures to optimize shipping operations.
• Develop strategies to communicate and update patients about shipping delays.
• Address patient concerns regarding shipping delays, within the scope of knowledge.
• Arrange and coordinate daily local courier shipments and communicate these plans to each courier drop-off site.
• Act in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and maintain the highest ethical standards.
• Assist in mentoring and training new and existing team members to maintain the service model.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • Demonstrable experience in Customer Service
• Proficiency in handling Certified Mail and Mail Packages
• Solid knowledge of Inventory Tracking
• Excellent Email Communications skills
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on business needs
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools
• Flexibility to work in different shifts if required
• Familiarity with logistics software is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field is preferred.
