Logistics Coordinator

Responsibilities:

Monitor fuel inventory levels, develop fuel delivery schedule, based on customer’s inventory requirements, and adjusting as necessary to avoid any fuel inventory outages.Coordinate, plan, and schedule fuel supply sourcing (liftings) based on customer’s needs, requests, and contractual obligations.Assign fuel deliveries to SWTO drivers using transportation management system (TMS) in a manner that maximizes payload, optimizes resources and complies with Company policy, state, and federal regulations.Ensures driver resources are maximized and meets Company objectives – safe, efficient, and reliable.Provide timely response (communicate with) to both internal and external business partners on any fuel delivery matters, or assistance, including fuel supply management (product availability) and potential inventory disruptions (delivery schedule and ETA).Identifies gaps between business demands and resource availability (capacity) and coordinates with supervisor for carrier support to ensure no service interruptions.Monitor and update fuel deliveries in TMS to ensure fuel deliveries timeframes are being met and update delivery information in TMS to ensure all fuel delivery activity is captured for freight billing system.Coordinate with customer additional workloads when driver resources exceed business demands.Provide frontline support for drivers, coordinate and resolve loading or unloading issues.Adjust resources schedule to accommodate vehicle repairs and maintenance schedule with Fleet Maintenance & Reliability team and communicate any vehicle and/or equipment issues with Fleet Maintenance & Reliability SupervisorsMaintains working knowledge of federal, state, and local rules and regulations, including, but not limited to, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and Department of Transportation (DOT) and Company policies, guidelines and proceduresProvides timely communication of critical events that need to be considered and/or addressed by ManagementCompletes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma, GED and relative experience, Associate’s Degree in related field (logistics) or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Skill Requirements:

Preferred experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and fuel forecasting & replenishment applicationsDemonstrated expertise with Word, Excel, and other MS Office suite applicationsExcellent communication skills and the ability to research and resolve issues Good understanding of intra-department functions and operationsStrong collaboration, teamwork and leadership skillsPositive, professional attitude and adaptive to changeAbility to perform repeated bending, standing and reachingAbility to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
