The Role

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator with a strong background in Logistics and Despatch to join our team in Naval Base. 

The role will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of project supplies. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the preparation of supplies, organising their distribution, and communicating with project leaders to ensure that all requirements are met.  

The candidate will need to be highly organised and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.  

This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday 7am-4pm at our Naval Base Office. 

Vehicle would be included in the package. 

Key Responsibilities:

Loading and unloading deliveries from suppliers.  Raising and receipting purchase orders and invoices relating to project logistics.   Maintenance of containers and project bays in Naval Base stores.  Loading and unloading deliveries for projects.  Packing, unpacking, and goods receipting from suppliers and for sites.  Packing and unpacking containers and stocktake for site.  Delivery runs, parts pick up and drop off for site.  Occasional site visits – upon project mobilisation and demobilisation.  Ensuring timely delivery of freight to and from site including start up containers.  Plant and equipment logistics execution as per Plant & Projects Department and coordination with Business Process Manager 

The successful applicant will ideally have: 

Previous experience in a similar role   Experience with Jobpac and Dynamics 356 (desirable)  Valid driver’s license (manual)  Must have HR License  Must have a Forklift License   Strong communication and people skills   Strong computer and systems skills and knowledge
