Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Job Description

This role involves coordinating, routing, and handling materials to meet production schedules. Responsibilities include expediting parts to resolve shortages, picking up and delivering materials both internally and externally, and maintaining records of material flow. The position also involves ensuring that incoming materials are properly routed and monitoring the movement of materials and parts between departments to meet scheduled commitments.

ResponsibilitiesManage logistics and transportation for a business segment in coordination with the Global Logistics team.Maintain internal stakeholder relationships to ensure a high level of service.Support internal and external sites with logistics leadership and technical information to enable execution.Partner with internal departments to enable an integrated, end-to-end supply chain.Manage relationships with logistics service providers.Ensure adherence to pharmaceutical industry requirements, including GMP compliance and cold chain management.Monitor and execute product flow throughout a global distribution network.Take ownership of shipments by providing situational leadership to ensure their success.Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators for the network and service providers.Support international shipments, including import and export compliance activities.Identify distribution-related risks and develop mitigating plans.Track and regularly report on budget activities.Raise continuous improvement ideas to support a robust and secure logistics network.Collaborate on internal SOPs/Work Instructions to identify best practices.Essential SkillsExperience in pharmaceutical, freight, supply chain, logistics, inventory, and customer service.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP or any ERP experience.3-5 years of work experience in Biotech-Pharmaceuticals.3-5 years of work experience in logistics, transportation, import/export, cold-chain or other supply chain functions.Experience managing projects for high-performing global teams.Experience handling freight forwarding, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and customs entries.Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business or Supply Chain.Work Environment

This is a temporary role for 12-18 months with the potential for extension based on business needs. The position is primarily remote, but candidates should be flexible to come in for quarterly team meetings if local. Standard hours are 8am to 5pm, but flexibility is required to accommodate global teams in different time zones. The work environment involves collaborating with various departments, supporting commercial logistics, and distributing final products to the market

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $38.47
