We have dozens of ready-mix and asphalt production facilities around the state of Iowa. Our massive fleet of dump and ready-mix trucks serves thousands of job sites every year. In addition, our concrete and asphalt paving divisions, along with our various other crews, complete hundreds of projects every season.
We have an immediate opening in our Brooklyn Office for a Logistics Coordinator. The Logistics Coordinator will manage the day-to-day scheduling and dispatching of trucks, ensuring the timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery of raw materials and finished goods to various destinations, including plants, job sites, and customers. This role requires effective communication skills to liaise between internal teams, drivers, and external clients, as well as the ability to utilize system data to optimize haul efficiency. Preference will be given to candidates with logistics or dispatch experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive, organize, and prioritize haul requests from internal teams, project sites, and customers. Coordinates deliveries with internal and external trucks to ensure timely delivery of materials to customers, plants, and jobs. Ensure adherence to delivery schedules and adjust plans as needed to meet changing demands. Ensure a high standard of service and customer satisfaction by proactively addressing potential delivery issues. Ability to communicate effectively with the logistics team, project teams, and the drivers. Track and monitor driver performance, availability, and compliance with company policies and safety standards. Leverage logistics software and system data to make decisions that maximize efficiency and minimize costs. Monitor and analyze haul data, identifying trends and making recommendations for process improvements. Reviews driver timecards for accuracy and provides feedback/training as needed. Tracks drivers’ hours of service and monitors logbooks to ensure DOT compliance. Additional duties as assigned, including but not limited to coverage during absence of other dispatch personnel.QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word
Proficiency in logistics or dispatch software, with the ability to interpret data for decision-making preferred.
