Logistics Coordinator
Job Overview:

This position is responsible for controlling the ordering process, return process, inventory and consignment programs of the assigned division. This position assists their assigned divisional department with ad hoc requests for information related to supply needs and resolve or escalate problems to leadership. They may be assigned to other areas to provide the same service to other customers. They collaborate with division staff, physicians, and purchasing to address product issues, and to ensure proper supply levels are maintained, and that the products meet the needs of the end users. Generates requisitions for supplies, instrumentation, and equipment. Performs recall tasks, monitors consignment and adjust inventory levels accordingly based on turnover information and changes in product and procedure volumes. Is the liaison between division manager, end users, physicians, suppliers, reps, Purchasing, and associated staff to identify compliance issues, product efficiency, price savings opportunities, new product evaluations, and VAT. Responsible for secure storage of bill-only PHI and proper entry for patient billing and vendor payments.

Job Responsibilities:

Routinely orders supplies; works with nursing to establish appropriate par levels while striving to reduce par levels when appropriate. Manages special projects as assigned by the Manager and Director. Facilitates the product recall notification process and executions search in division areas or as assigned. Exhibits Service Excellence in interactions with team members, physicians, and reps.
Monitors vendor activity related to pricing and consignment of supplies. Reports vendor inaccuracies to division Manager and Purchasing Contract Coordinator. Assists with setting up initial consignment agreements. Keeps updated consignment listing and works with Purchasing to maintain consignment agreements, and vendor on site stock, as well as placing consignment orders. 
Monitors utilization of product to identify trends and adjust par levels accordingly. Reports all captured savings to division manager and Logistics Manager. Resolves invoice issues or route contract issue to the appropriate department. Works with Purchasing to ensure we are using a valid contract and the appropriate product per contract. Resolves product issues, recalls, defective, damaged, etc issue with vendor.
Assists departments with ad hoc requests for information related to supply needs and resolve or escalate problems to leadership. Assists end users in locating suppliers and sources. Identifies excess inventory and/or outdated product and works toward returning stock and processing credits according to return procedures. Works with Purchasing to resolve and address PUOM or product issues.
Works with end users regarding substitutes or sourcing alternatives as offered. Assist with identification of recalls and pulling/working with rep to pull all affect products; reports outcomes to Logistics Manager. Assists division manager with department specific recalls involving patient related implants, and pulls necessary Lawson information for division manager/risk.
Assists department manager with cost savings and VAT. Brings forward standardization ideas from end users, and assist with in servicing and education for the end user. Point of contact for sales rep, Purchasing, and division manager. Work with Finance to ensure correct pricing is paid; research with Purchasing to ensure the supplier is charging contract price.
