Logistics Coordinator
Description We are in the process of recruiting a Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role centers around managing and enhancing the delivery process to maintain client satisfaction, coordinating the shipment of finished products to clients, and handling inbound international shipments. This employment opportunity offers a contract to permanent arrangement. Responsibilities: • Manage and improve client shipment processes, focusing on service, vendor performance, efficiency improvements, and cost savings. • Maintain daily interactions with logistics providers, keeping track of KPI metrics, generating logistics reports, and offering insights for process enhancements. • Conduct root cause analysis and devise corrective action plans to address process issues or exploit opportunities. • Handle all shipment exceptions, ensuring swift resolutions and minimal disruptions to our client deliveries. • Negotiate competitive pricing for transportation services by managing vendor relationships and optimizing partnerships. • Oversee daily internal and external communication for various logistics activities like quoting, dispatching, status updates, document requirements, service changes, or to report and resolve exceptions. • Coordinate the transportation of finished goods and provide daily tracking updates to internal stakeholders. • Update order information in Business Systems such as Work-Relay (Salesforce) and Navision (ERP). • Assist and support team members in completing daily tasks within the department. • Implement improvement projects for logistics processes, aiming to minimize exceptions. • Manage international Return merchandise authorizations in compliance with import regulations. • Organize and coordinate all white glove deliveries once dispatched to the provider. • Handle other logistics-related tasks as needed.
