Description We are offering a long term contract for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator in the services industry based in Los Angeles, California. The role focuses on managing and coordinating the efficient movement of goods while maintaining strong relationships with carriers and clients. NOTE: Shift is from 12AM-8AM Tuesday-Saturday Responsibilities: • Manage the transportation of goods from origin to destination, ensuring efficient delivery schedules. • Establish frequent communication with carriers, shippers, and receivers to track shipments and resolve any arising issues. • Schedule and oversee appointments for pickups, deliveries, and returns, including those at ports and warehouses. • Ensure accurate and prompt data entry of shipment details, updates, and documentation. • Verify and update billing information, alongside processing and uploading proof of delivery documents. • Act as a key contact point for resolving operational issues and discrepancies during the shipping process. • Prepare performance reports to track key metrics and identify areas for improvement. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, enhance service levels, and meet client expectations. Requirements • Proficiency in various business systems. • Experience with Cargowise software. • Competency in CRM applications. • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning. • Knowledge of various ERP Solutions. • Proficient use of About Time software. • Ability to handle billing functions effectively. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Outstanding customer service skills. • Knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
