This role will lead a team handling route planning for local deliveries and freight logistics (FTL, LTL, common carriers), with a strong focus on e-commerce fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in logistics strategy, warehouse operations, and cost optimization, ensuring seamless and cost-effective transportation solutions. Key Responsibilities: + Oversee and manage the logistics team responsible for both local delivery routing and freight planning. + Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. + Ensure seamless e-commerce fulfillment, addressing the unique challenges of online order logistics. + Optimize fleet and freight operations, including route planning, carrier selection, and load optimization. + Negotiate contracts with carriers and third-party logistics providers to secure cost-effective and reliable shipping solutions. + Manage freight budgets and shipping costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities. + Oversee warehouse coordination, ensuring smooth inventory management, order picking, and shipping processes. + Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement. + Resolve escalated freight and delivery issues, including damage claims and service disruptions. + Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies. Requirements Qualifications: · Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in logistics, supply chain management, or transportation, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. · Industry Knowledge: E-commerce logistics experience is required, understanding the complexities of online order fulfillment, shipping timelines, and customer expectations. Skills: · Proven leadership ability to manage and develop a logistics team. · Strong analytical and strategic planning skills for logistics optimization. · Excellent negotiation skills for carrier contracts and freight cost management. · Experience in routing software, freight management systems, and ERP/WMS platforms. · Strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate with vendors, warehouse teams, and customers. · Ability to handle high-volume operations and adapt to changing business needs.
