As a Logistics Dispatcher, you provide support to Rolling Stock & Logistics Manager on a daily basis – includes posting active loads, dispatching of trucking, obtaining comparative rates, and communicates with branches and internal departments regarding load status.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Function as the primary dispatcher. Provide quotes, shipping time and cost estimates for load inquiries. Verify specifications on all trucking requests are accurate through Baseplan specifications, Truck Request Form, and in collaboration with Product Line Managers in order to dispatch the correct equipment (truck, trailer, forklift) for pick up and offloading. Responsible for vetting load request, posting loads, negotiating lowest cost, and contracting LTL/TL shipments through Transportation Insights. Ensures truckload and LTL load statuses are updated, accurate, on schedule, and communicates any issues or delays with the branch and internal departments. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks accurately. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be detail-oriented, accurate and have basic knowledge of accounting and finance concepts. Possession of strong organizational skills. Above average skill with PC based software required to successfully perform in role Other duties as assigned in support of the operation
