Title: Logistics Engineer
Location: Freeport, TX

Salary: $93,000 - $145,000 plus additional bonus
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5-8s; 9/80s.
Relocation Available 

Focus: The Logistics Engineer will work as a lead technical resource to coach and assist the Freeport Site Logistics team, directly supporting Olin’s Freeport Epoxy business assets which include railcar and truck loading facilities in addition to a Warehouse packaging facility. Key objectives are to optimize and improve safety, production, efficiency, and reliability of assets. Additionally, this role resolves daily plant issues, drives process improvements, oversees maintenance compliance, and shares knowledge to strengthen the performance of the team.


Logistics Engineer Essential Job Functions: Serves as Subject Matter Expert in equipment failures, repair methods, and reliability of assets Interfaces with supply chain, scheduling, production, quality, and division logistics to facilitate team success Participates in process/equipment troubleshooting and updates operating discipline to reflect learnings and best practices. Leads and participates in Root Cause analysis Provides technical direction in the day-to-day decision making and coaches operations personnel Helps develop job scopes, plans, and technical execution support during maintenance activities and major asset outages Responsible for ensuring department meets compliance, environmental, PSM/RMP, Olin Management System, and asset integrity requirements. Develops scope, business case, and supports/leads projects utilizing the Management of Change (MOC) process Shares on-call responsibilities with other plant personnel Logistics Engineer Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree* in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering 1+ years experience in chemical manufacturing industry in a production, project, or logistics role Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work in a team environment Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills – verbal and written SAP experience preferred Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)  and possess a valid US Driver's license
