We are a multinational chemical company with a complex portfolio and distribution set up in Turkey. We are looking for a "Logistics Engineer" who will work as a part of our Supply Chain Organization in Gebze Factory.

 

Qualifications:

University degree preferably from an Engineering Department Minimum 2 years experience in logistic preferredSAP experience is a plusExcellent command of MS Office ToolsExcellent ability of both written and spoken EnglishSelf motivated and a good team playerStrong analytical & good communication skills

 

Logistics Engineer will be responsible for: 

Collect and analyze data related to inbound & outbound transportationBoth Production and 3PL warehousing, and territorial distribution activities to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecksAnalyze and evaluate existing logistics processes to identify areas for improvementDesign and implementation of performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of logistics vendorsAssist in the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives to streamline logistics operations and reduce costsKnowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to logistics and transportation where supporting to prepare vendor contractsDevelop and implement cost-effective transportation solutions, including route optimization and carrier selectionCoordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation partners to ensure timely delivery of goodsUtilize software tools and technologies to track shipments, monitor inventory levels, and 3PL warehouse management operationsConduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, planning ,QA, procurement, operations, and customer service, to streamline processes and improve efficiencyStay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management
