The Logistics Analyst/Engineer will partner with leadership and peers to ensure that the logistics operating system meets the needs of the business and its customers. This position will implement logistics process improvement projects, solutions, and performance metrics with a focus on improving delivery and cost. This position will also review logistics data to analyze network performance and develop new logistics improvement projects and solutions that will accelerate sustainability goals and/or improve logistics network performance. The position will work closely with all facets of the logistics department to support strategic business units (SBUs) globally, and also provide exposure to coaching from the most senior leaders across supply chain in Trane Technologies.

Where is the work:  

This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite in Davidson, NC 3 days each week.  Targeted start date - June 2, 2025 or soon after

What you will do:    

Collect and analyze logistics data to measure network performance. Benchmark current inbound & outbound transportation and distribution networks and support business process changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of these networksLeverage network performance analysis to problem solve (design, configure, and implement) business solutions and projects that deliver year over year productivity and delivery improvements.Work closely with Materials, Distribution, and other Logistics Leaders to ensure that product flow is continuousReview and analyze logistics processes to identify waste and develop, support, and or lead process improvement projects in the logistics department.Utilize internal expertise, company initiatives and SBU customer requirements to develop decision model to determine optimal logistics solutionsLead and support productivity ideation events and value stream mapping eventsMaintain configurations and data integrity in transportation management systemPartner with carriers, suppliers, and visibility partners to drive compliance and understanding of business processesDesigning dashboards through Tableau to review logistics network and process performanceShare best practices across logistics operations on:Process designLogistics Network performanceKPI Reporting

 

What you will bring:  

Bachelor’s degree; Supply Chain concentration preferredStrong project management and communication skills.  Basic knowledge of logistics concepts including procurement, transportation management, operations, freight payment, and freight claims. Understanding of packaging strategies is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze and work to remove ambiguity with spend dataAbility to develop and deliver creative and effective solutionsAbility to successfully manage and deliver multiple complex projectsExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skillsExcellent relationship building skillsHigh proficiency with Microsoft Office, Alteryx, and Tableau preferred Ability to travel up to 20%

Compensation:    

Base Pay Range: $60,000-$80,000

Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
