Siemens Materials Forecasting based in Goole are a new function which Siemens are looking to expand. The team are responsible for all stock for over 3000 Siemens trains which run in the UK. The key requirements of this team is to ensure that forecasts are accurate, stock is purchased and on site at the time of requirement. You will be expected to assist the Forecasting team with achieving objectives required by the business. Develop relationships with the cross-facing teams, supporting and ensuring communication flow is maintained, accurate and in a timely fashion. Work with Customers and across teams to understand Inventory Management systems and processes used by the business areas and be guided by Siemens values and behaviours. The aim being the right material being at the right place at the right time in the correct quantity.

By the end of your programme, you will be equipped with the best knowledge and hands-on experience to kickstart your professional career here at Siemens Mobility.Work with Internal & External teams to understand Inventory Management systems and processes used by the various business areas.Ensure that daily, weekly and monthly exceptions are reviewed and completed as necessary.Ownership of forecasts and effective management for materials.Ensure optimum stock holding and order policies are set.Responsible for ensuring necessary escalation, root cause analysis and resolution processes are in place and supported by the full engagement of all key stakeholders.Assist with review of Procurement processes and activities, particularly within Inventory and Forecasting to identify problems and waste, improve where possible including preparation and presentation for training.Gather data from a variety of sources. Assess, interpret, and analyse the data in development of a thorough, accurate, and supportable demand forecast. Carry out other duties, responsibilities, and projects as assigned, in an effective manner.
