I. POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting the accuracy of company owned inventory and the timeliness of Logistics inventory requests. The role will oversee the organizations cycle count program for multiple warehouses and locations to align with established Inventory Control and Financial GAAP expectations. The position will be responsible for daily cycle counts, inventory and complaint investigations, and the documentation of best practices. The role is expected to train others on best practices and improve processes to drive customer satisfaction. Analysis, trending, and distribution of inventory reports will be a key responsibility of this position.
Hours - 9 AM - 5:30 PM - in office role
II. REQUIREMENTS
High school education or equivalent required
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
5 years or more of experience in a distribution/logistics/supply chain or production environment required.
5 years or more of experience in a quality assurance, continuous improvement, or process control is required.
Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
Computer proficiency and skill in MS Office Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, & Visio) required.
SAP proficiency in a variety of warehouse, quality, and inventory transactions
Excellent communication and customer service skills required
The ability to adapt and adjust to changing priorities
III. RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties consistent with the general nature and focus of the position and/or the goals and objectives of the department may be assigned.)
Implement and update processes to optimize inventory control procedures and inventory accuracy
Audit processes and inventory to track performance
Conduct and monitor inventory audits to identify opportunities for improvement
Use Continuous Improvement tools to identify root cause, implement improvements, and monitor metrics
Lead and facilitate third party cycle count audits
Work with third party logistics companies to ensure inventory accuracy and cycle count goals are achieved
Make recommendations to leadership about improvements in inventory
Minimize inventory loss by incorporating best supply chain practices
Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
Oversee and control inventory coming in and out of warehouse
Collaborate with logistics employees and other staff to ensure business goals are achieved.
Research and investigate any inventory errors, discrepancies, or anomalies in reports to discover root causes, resolve and assist in developing corrective and preventative actions.
Produce inventory reports for use in re-slotting inventory to maximize the efficiency of both the logistics staff and space.
Analyze reports to identify trends or outliers; provide recommendations for corrective actions
Investigate and trend customer complaints related to logistics activities.
Monitor various warehouse bins, virtual and physical transactions within SAP and provide information to Inventory Control Manager in support of accurate inventory and continuous improvement opportunities
Demonstrate and train Logistics Center staff on the proper SAP transactions required to accurately store inventory quantities and value
Periodically present information to the Logistics Center Management team
Physical and systematic movement of product
Ability to climb ladders to access material is essential
Ability to operate electric powered lift equipment
Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Capable of standing/walking for up to 8 hours.

Because of the specific nature of this position, the Inventory Control Specialist must be a champion for quality/accuracy and a role model for adherence to all Regulatory Requirements. This position requires the highest level of honesty and integrity in all Business matters. The incumbent in this position is responsible for understanding and following all FDA/Quality System Procedures and Work Instructions related to his/her specific job responsibilities. Every employee is responsible to complete and maintain Quality Training Records in the Learning Management System.
