The Integrated Airborne Solutions Division in support of the Airborne Systems Business Area of Leidos currently has an opening for a Logistics & Tool Room Lead for the Part 145 Repair Station. Leidos is the Product Support Management and Logistics Lead for manned aerial intelligence platforms located in various CONUS and OCONUS operational areas. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Leidos IAS Division.

What’s in it for you?

The Logistics & Tool Room Lead (L&TRL) for the repair station is responsible for managing all supply & tool transactions for the Part 145 Repair Station at the Manassas airfield. L&TRL will coordinate and track to completion supply actions to receive, store, distribute, and maintain calibration of equipment and material at the Repair Station used for contract performance. The L&TRL will manage a secure tool & supply area in the Repair Station and modernize workflows to accurately document receipt, storage, and distribution of supply and tools to maintenance personnel in support of daily maintenance operations. L&TRL will manage the calibration program for Repair Station calibrated tools and test/measurement devices. L&TRL will coordinate with maintenance and operations staff to ensure maintenance actions are not impacted by administrative or logistics delays. L&TRL will interface with program LNO for purchasing objectives, Local Logistics team for movement and transportation objectives, and Maintenance team members to ensure supply response to all emerging requirements at the Repair Station.

THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)

Maintain optimal layout for secured storage area within the Repair Station.

Source and initiate purchase orders for equipment, material, and tools needed for maintenance activity or airframe modifications occurring in the 145 Repair Station.

Receive material needed, organize in secured storage area, and manage inventory accountability program for equipment in storage bins, secured cabinets, HAZMAT lockers, Hangar Floor, and other facility locations.

Label and organize all storage areas & optimize workflows to enable use of equipment scanners to automate distribution workflows and signing tools in/out of the tool/supply area.

Respond to requests for material by submitting Requisitions to material planners when supplies are unavailable.

Coordinate with Warehouse Team to request movement of supply/parts from Warehouse to Repair Station supply area for program specific replenishment or emerging requirements.

Work with program team to execute LMMIS transactions for parts and tool allocated to specific programs being managed in LMMIS.

Manage EBIS inventory records, which is the repair stations logistics management database.

Manage calibration program to ensure tools in supply/tool area are fully calibrated and ready for use.

Coordinate with Logistics managers for surge support coverage such as weekend coverage during planned leave events or during surge efforts where weekend work is occurring.

Manage schedule for Repair Station tool room staff to ensure daily coverage and weekend support where applicable.

Responsible for cyclic physical inventory efforts in repair station.

Responsible for ordering supplies and equipment needed to support tool/supply area task objectives, tracking minimum quantities of consumables/expendables, and proactively placing orders of commonly used supply.

Other logistics duties as assigned in response to contractual reporting or mission requirements.

WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)

Bachelor Degree with minimum of four (4) years of applicable experience or (6-8) years of equivalent experience may be considered.

Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills

Familiar with Army transportation and transfer documentation

Familiar with Inventory Management Systems (IMS)

Ability to monitor and manage the supply of several OCONUS locations and multiple mission systems.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor Degree with eight (8) years of Logistics Management experience or (12) years of equivalent Logistics Management experience

Excellent presentation skills for program management and integrated product team meetings

Professional writing experience

Pay Range:Pay Range $63,700.00 - $115,150.00
