Logistics Lead

This role is responsible for working with departmental leaders to develop and implement actions to meet plant goals and deliverables. This position will coordinate processes, equipment and people to maintain continuous flow of product and services.

Position Details:

Plant location: Greensboro, NCCompensation package offered:   $24.00 per hourAvailable Shift: 3rd Shift Sun - Thurs 10:00 P.M. - 6:30 A.M.
 

What You Will Do:

Establish standard work and assists in trainingCoordinate equipment and labor to minimize downtimeMay back fill forklift operators or other positions as neededParticipate in developing, deploying, and using continuous improvement systemsIdentify safety hazards through safety audits and initiatives. Recommend corrective actionsCommunicate maintenance needs, quality issues or other situations that impact safety, quality or productivity to supervisor. Work closely with the Quality teamContinuously identify opportunities for system and process waste eliminationEnsure constant communication with management on daily activities and challengesParticipate in selecting and developing new hiresEnsure the warehouse is clean and maintainedSuccessfully complete classroom and on the job training  Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED2+ years of plant/warehouse experience in a related field  2 Years of Standup Forklift experienceBasic computer skills Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point and OutlookNo immigration sponsorship offered for this role

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift/carry 50lbsMust be able to pass a drug screen

Preferred Qualifications:

TPM knowledge and experienceExperience with Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma systems Basic computer knowledge Professional experience coaching, mentoring and providing feedbackExcellent communication skillsPrevious forklift operating experience

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$24.00 Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
