Summary You will serve as a TRIDENT CLASS SUBMARINE REFIT MANAGER IN THE BUSINESS AND MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT BRANCH, REFIT MANAGEMENT SECTION OF TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR. Responsibilities You will perform as a TRIDENT CLASS SUBMARINE REFIT MANAGER reviewing refit work packages for work performed on TRIDENT Class Submarines providing an evaluation to set best practices, adjudicate scheduling conflicts, and material availability issues. You will mitigate complex factors such as schedule changes, ships conditions, system line-up, and maintenance plan changes. You will serve as liaison between Submarine Maintenance Engineering, Planning and Procurement Activity (SUBMEPP),TRIDENT Maintenance Plan Manager and Local Engineering and Production branches in the development of new planned maintenance requirements You will identify conflicts and impact of periodicity alignment, resource requirements, and existing ship conditions providing resolution for affected TRIDENT availabilities required to maintain operational readiness of strategic assets. You will develop TRIDENT Class Availability Work Packages for Extended Refit Period (ERP) and Engineered Refueling Overhaul (ERO) availabilities collaborating with SUBMEPP, TYCOM, IMF and PSNS Project Management Team for required adjustments. You will chair the A-60 Pre-Call Down Review Meeting providing the most accurate Initial Refit Work Package comprised of scheduled Planned Maintenance requirements, Departure from Specification (DFS), and proposed Alterations for the upcoming refit. You will attend the A-40 Work Definition and the A-21 Pre-Arrival Conferences capturing and validating items identified for rescheduling in order to minimize Deferred Work and meet Key Event Schedule timelines. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-12 grade level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing maintenance program management services relative to the refit planning and analysis of ship or submarine maintenance plans. GS-11 grade level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing review of services relative to ship or submarine maintenance plans.
