Summary About the Position: This vacancy exists within the office of the PEO CS&CSS. Positions will be specifically located in the PEO CS&CSS, Staff. However, the referral list generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in the PEO CS&CSS & PEO GCS, with duty location at Warren, MI and/or Selfridge, MI. Responsibilities Participates in the development, publication, and update of comprehensive distribution plans. Coordinates with other staff members and support elements on fleet composition, vehicle useful life, common components, and emerging force structure impacts on fleet management. Analyzes supporting element funding records, reports, and program requirements to forecast realistic Second Destination Transportation (SDT) funding. Determines the impacts of funding profiles and recommends corrective actions as needed. Participates in the development of program and budget requirements for new and unique fleet management actions and programs. Formulates plans and policies relative to achieving the maximum cost-effective complete life cycle and Economic Useful Life (EUL) for the Program Fleet. Monitors and Maintained an accurate fleet age using information such as fielding data, Recap reports, production reports, and future production quantities. Determines where adjustments can be made and what modifications are necessary to ensure coordinated action in those areas of major difficulty. Serves as the PMs’/PdMs’ representative at conferences and meetings such as the Army Modernization Equipping Conference (AMEC) and scheduling conferences. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position based off experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience at the NH-02 level in the Federal Service that includes: 1. Acting as a Fleet Manager or Fleet Planner responsible for the oversight of the PEO/PM Fleet Management program and the Army equipping process.; 2. Utilizing Fleet Planning tools and databases including but not limited to the Army Equipping Enterprise System (AE2S), Decision Support Tool (DST), Total Enterprise Asset Management System (TEAMS), and other databases.; 3. Inputting fleet management data such as PM available quantities for fielding and vetting Product Sourcing Decisions in Fleet Management or planning activities.; 4. Participating in Army Materiel Equipping Conferences (AMEC), End Item Interchange (Data Interchange) and providing analysis and recommendations on fleet planning requirements and recommendations for the PEO staff and PMs. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 (or GS-11 equivalent). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Acquisition Strategy Communications Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Planning Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
