About the Position: The JMC Demil Capabilities Division serves as a tenant organization on the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant providing unique ammunition-related services to the Department of Defense in its role as part of the U.S. Army Joint Munitions Command (JMC). Responsibilities Serve as a Logistics Management Specialist, analyzing and coordinating projects and activities in support of demilitarization/wholesale and retail ammunition logistics operations. Coordinate planning for future routine wholesale and retail ammunition resupply distribution. Troubleshoot ammunition logistics problems and recommend alternatives or new ammunition logistics approaches to satisfy stockpile management issues. Perform comprehensive research of ammunition technical publications and supply sources to identify end items/components, packing and methods of assembly. Evaluate contractor performance to ensure compliance with applicable ammunition regulations, policies, and procedures. These duties are described at the full performance level (GS-11). Applicants may be selected at the GS-07, GS-09, or GS-11 grade level. OR Education: successfully completed one full academic year of graduate-level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above. Specialized Experience required for GS-09: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) analyzing data from a variety of resources to support ammunition demilitarization program; and 2) assisting higher graded personnel with demilitarization and ammunition life cycle logistics operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Specialized Experience required for GS-11: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) identifying requirements for sustainable demilitarization operations; 2) coordinating activities in support of demilitarization/ammunition life cycle logistics; and 3) reviewing ammunition operation standards for the selection of new capability solutions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Successful completion of at least a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., if related, from an accredited college or university. OR Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
