About the Position: This position serves as a Logistics Management Specialist for the US Army Communications Electronics Command, Integrated Logistics Support Center, Communications Security Logistics Activity COMSEC Compliance, Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Responsibilities Performs a variety of special projects involving COMSEC and logistics policies and procedure research and studies for leadership or senior team members Proposes logistics system objectives; analyzing and synthesizing optimum means of achieving objectives; and developing and revising regulations and other material necessary to effect plans. Coordinates the development and implementation of COMSEC and logistics objectives, systems, programs and projects which cross functional lines. Represents the office/activity on various committees to identify and resolve difficult program issues, objectives and responsibilities. As a member of a self-managing team performs administrative duties related to training, budget development, procedural improvements, performance standards/ratings, etc. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Experience with Communications Security (COMSEC) and logistics policies and procedure, which includes implementing and developing procedures within established policies and guidelines; 2) Experience planning and applying techniques to resolve COMSEC incidents and logistics issues 3) Address problems with operational, technical, and logistics processes; and 4) Recommend solutions and prepare system changes to correct or improve COMSEC management information systems and processes. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
