Logistics Manager – Libya & Tunisia

The focus of this role will be to manage the transportation strategies that support both inbound and outbound to the region. This role will manage a team of people that will be developed as part of the role requirements.
As the Logistics Manager - Libya & Tunisia, you will be responsible for:
Actively develops relationships with the different Business segments, understands their needs, and designs appropriate solutions in coordination with Suppliers & other Logistics clusters/Region/Global Leads.
Managing transportation and logistics of goods and services to and from internal and/or external customers/suppliers.
Gathering and analyzes market information on competitor activities and service providers (airlines, shipping lines, etc.) to maintain the company's competitive edge in products, pricing, services, and systems.
Managing, guiding, training, setting targets and objectives for staff, appraise and support employees reporting to the position and ensure high performance levels towards achieving overall objectives.
Developing notions on midterm developments for own function and elaborates suggestions for the strategic plan of the larger unit (be it function or business unit).
Developing and lead end-to-end logistics solutions to achieve the required on-time pickup and delivery of goods.
Managing excellent relationships with all government departments.
Handling Domestic transportation between rigs/yards and negotiate rates with transportations vendors for profitable deals
Managing Logistics Costs to meet budgets and Operations Plans.
Understanding broader concepts, development of approaches and methods, and knowledge management. Solutions integrate multi-functional impact and perspective.
Having influencing skills to achieve objectives, strong influencing of others. Ability to develop team members.
Handling professional work in the department. Employees are expected to choose approaches and methods to solve cases.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor’s degree in business management, Supply Chain or equivalent.
Have 5+ years of experience in logistics preferably in the Oil & Gas industry
Have at least 2 years of project management skills with the ability to plan tasks, assign resources, manage progress, remove barriers, manage change, resolve conflict, build consensus, and motivate team members.
Have great Government relations to be able to perform this role diligently
Have significant leadership experience
Be Six Sigma Certified (Preferred)
Have the ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
