SUMMARY:
The Logistics Manager role is responsible for the safety, employee engagement, productivity, quality, and customer service associated with the multi-shift finished goods distribution facility.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include, but are not limited to the following:
Leading a Transportation and Warehouse team responsible for raw material storage and finished goods distribution operations. Sustaining a culture of safe work performance, encouraging employee involvement, following up on safety concerns, and modeling proper safe behaviors. Partnering with HSE to ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards. Achieving effective employee engagement, developing, and supporting a culture where employee input is encouraged, and individuals and teams achieve success through common vision, goals, and purpose. Achieving quality goals, training employees to established customer quality standards, following proper quality procedures, and performing requisite inspections. Achieving key performance goals, communicating clear objectives and priorities, providing requisite training resources, engaging employees, and effectively measuring and reporting out on progress. Directing the storage and distribution of all items at the lowest cost consistent with established specifications in terms of quality and quantity. Proactively identifying, developing, recommending, and implementing effective operating policies. Ensuring materials, supplies, vehicles, equipment are maintained to specifications. Developing and managing distribution and warehouse department budgets. Effectively communicating throughout the organization on key issues. Evaluating job performance and recommending appropriate personnel action. Guiding leadership team in handling difficult or complex problems and in resolving issues.
